Why Alpha & Omega Inspections LLC exists
Over ten years ago, my wife and I purchased our first home. It was going to be awesome, we were looking for something that was below our budget and with a little TLC we would make it our own. We found a great REALTOR that showed us a few houses and what do you know, we found the diamond in the rough. We put in an offer and 24 hours later we were under contract.
The next step in the process was to get a home inspection. We found a home inspector, he had been in the business for a while, and the next day we had our home inspection. When we got our report there wasn't anything too unexpected except some water in the crawlspace, but with some landscaping we would be good. So we moved forward with the purchase of our first home.
Well, come to find out over the first two years of living in our home we found quite a few, very expensive issues. We found out that the washing machine drain (standpipe) had been damaged and was leaking, which was visible by the wet deteriorating drywall behind the washing machine. We were a little concerned that something clearly visible was missed but it was an easy and cheap fix so we just dealt with it. But later on, when we decided to do an update to the kitchen we discovered that the leak from the washing machine was a much bigger issue and we ended up spending thousands of dollars replacing all of the flooring, subflooring and structural members. And remember the water we had in the crawlspace, it was a bigger issue than we were led on to believe. We had to replace our entire HVAC system, to include all the ducting due to deterioration from sitting in water.
This story is why Alpha & Omega Inspections LLC exists today. Although, Home Inspectors cannot see through walls and guess what may break or quit working in the near future, they should, and most can, put two and two together to help you make an informed decision on your home purchase.
My goal at Alpha & Omega Inspections LLC is to ensure that your home buying and home owning experience is the best experience of your life.
When you are ready to purchase your home, give me a call.
